Two Iran cineastes to attend Berlinale Talents

The 2020 Berlinale Talents in Germany has set to host two Iranian cineastes.

Mehrnoush Alia and Iman Behrouzi will attend the Talents section of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival in Germany.

Being a successful film director, Behrouzi has made a name in international arenas. He has made a number of award-winning documentaries, including ‘A movie for You’ which won an award at the Signs of the Night international film festival in France.

Iranian scriptwriter and film producer Alia has composed various scripts for theater plays such as ‘The Little Black Fish’ directed by Mohammad Aqebati.

Since its establishment in 2003, the Berlinale Talents is dedicated to training emerging filmmakers from around the world. This year, 250 cineastes have been taken on to attend the section.

Founded in 1951, the Berlin International Film Festival is one of the world’s leading film events which is annually held in Germany in February.
