Written and directed by Saeed Zamanian, the 13-minute short will be screening at the main competition section of the 21st edition of the German film event.
‘The Feast of the Goat’ narrates the story of a city boy who makes friends with a goat out of loneliness. On the day, the goat is killed during a votive ritual, the boy cannot let go of the animal.
A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Children never forget anything”.
Toumaj Danesh-Behzadi, Sepideh Dastineh and Yazdan Kokabi-Saba comprise the cast of the film.
The short has already attended a number of film events and succeeded to win award including the Special Mention in Short Fiction section of the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.
The upcoming edition of the Landshut Short film Festival is slated for March 25-30, 2020.
