Iran to screen Bernardo Bertolucci doc ‘The Path of Oil’

Iran’s Art and Experience group and Italy’s embassy in Iran have selected Bernardo Bertolucci’s documentary ‘The Path of Oil’ to go on screen during the program titled “Spotlight on Italian Cinema”.

The documentary includes three parts that depict the oil route from Iran to Europe.

A Synopsis to the doc reads “the film follows the 'journey' made by oil from the exploration and extraction phases in Iran, to transport by sea through the Suez Canal and across the Mediterranean to the oil pipeline in Genoa, which is linked to the refinery in Ingolstadt, in Bavaria”.

The poster for the event was designed by Behzad Khorshidi.

The week of Italian film will be held in the Iranian cities of Tehran, Kish and Shiraz.

The event is slated for February 20-26.
