Directed by Maryam Mohajer, the animation is told through the eyes of a child who narrates the story of her grandfather’s infinite love for her grandmother.
The film records their first interactions – falling in love, getting married and starting a family.
The piece is told skillfully through bold painted animations. It offers a childlike sense of intimacy and frank storytelling.
The animation was nominated for the 2020 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) held in February.
The Athens ANIMFEST provides animation fans with a program full of shorts and feature animations.
The event is slated for March 16-22, 2020.
