Iran’s short ‘Snowy Heart’ to vie in New Zealand

Iranian short ‘Snowy Heart’ is to compete at the 2020 Māoriland Film Festival in New Zealand.

Directed by Alireza Biglari, Iranian short title ‘Snowy Heart’ has been selected to compete at the 2020 edition of the Māoriland Film Festival in New Zealand.

A synopsis to the short title reads “only love can save the world”.

The flick is written by Biglari and Dina Norouzi is the only actress of the film.

Founded in 2014, the Māoriland festival honors indigenous voices and storytelling in film.

The festival with a year-round program provides different events, including lecture series, sound and stage performances and visual arts programs.

The festival was slated for March 18-22, but it was cancelled due to the global outbreak of coronavirus and the selected films are set to be presented online.
