‘Breath’ novel based on the Iranian award-winning movie is slated to be available for the visually impaired audiences.

Narges Abyar’s novel based on her acclaimed film has been made ready for the blind by CEVINA Group.

Supervised by ifilm star Gelareh Abbasi, the CEVINA group (Cinema for Visually Impaired Audience) ran the screening event with the aim to make people with blindness and vision impairment to be able to watch their favorite movies independently.

“The story of the film begins in the late 1970s in a suburb of Karaj, where Bahar, Nader, Kamal and Maryam live with numerous colorful dreams of their childhood along with their father and granny. The mother of the household, however, has died a few years ago.

The father, who suffers from asthma, works for a shoemaking company. In her dreams, Bahar, who narrates the story of the film, wishes to treat him when she becomes a doctor.”

Gelare Abbasi, Mehran Ahmadi, Jamshid Hashempour, and Shabnam Moqaddami star in ‘Breath’.

The film has been acclaimed at various global film events, nabbing the Audience Award at the 3rd Iranian Film festival Zurich in Switzerland and Golden Simorgh for Best Film with National View at the 34th Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.
