India’s Chennai filmfest honors Iran’s ‘The Past Continuous’

The 17th Chennai Int’l Film Festival in India awards Iranian short ‘The Past Continuous’.

The 17th edition of the Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) in India has awarded Iranian short ‘The Past Continuous’.

Directed by Shiva Taheri, the short title has succeeded to win the best short film award at the Indian film event.

Written by Karim Amini, Armin Tahmasebi, and Ali Bateni, ‘The Past Continuous’ has previously taken part at some global events, including the Taos Shortz Film Festival in the US, the Varese Film Festival in Italy, and the Minikino Film Festival in Indonesia.

Shohreh Soltani, Payam Ahmadinia, Behrouz Panahandeh, and Saman Mahkouyeh are the cast members of the short title.

The CIFF is a festival organized in the city of Chennai, India, by the film society of Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF).

The festival provides a platform to contribute to the understanding and appreciation of film cultures of the different nations in the context of the social and cultural ethos, and promote friendship and co-operation among peoples of the world, according to the event’s organizers.
