US film festival to screen Iran’s ‘Untimely’

Iran’s feature film ‘Untimely’ is to participate at the Columbus Int’l Film & Animation Festival in the US.

Iran’s feature film ‘Untimely’ has made it to the Columbus International Film & Animation Festival, the oldest film festival in the United States.

‘Untimely’, directed by Pouya Eshtehardi, will be screened at the 68th edition of the festival, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

The film is about a Baloch called Hamin who is performing his military service.

He took a day off to attend his sister’s wedding, but it was cancelled over cigarette smoking. Up in the watchtower, Hamin reviews the past years and the things happened to him and his sister since their childhood.

Hamin in Balochi means the heat of summer.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the 2020 edition of the American event will be digital.

It will take place on April 15-19.
