Amirshahab Mahdizadeh’s 6-min animation _ along with 7 other Iranian short films _ will be in the competition lineup of the 1st edition of the UK film event.
This makes the first international presence of ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’.
‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’ is a fantasy short animation about two kids near seaside: a boy who is selling alive fishes and a girl who is selling drawings of free fishes in the sea.
Hassan Mokhtari’s ‘Not Winter’, ‘Game without Zero’ by Mostafa Rostampour, Hassan Dehqanian’s ‘C-19’, ‘6-7-8’ by Sadegh and ‘Once Upon A Time In The World’ by Babak Beigi are also Iranian contestants at the festival.
The Grounded Film Festival is a free to enter and a part of a bigger event named the Marbella International Film Festival. It aims to provide a record of the unusual times caused by coronavirus; the times that people have to isolate themselves and stay at home.
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the festival will screen films through its website and social media platforms, while the 2020 award ceremony of the festival will be held in October 11 in the Spanish city of Marbella.
