Hashemi, who last appeared in IRIB Nowruz TV series ‘Camion’, will take on role in Ali Atshani’s upcoming film ‘Shark’ penned by Peyman Abbasi.
In new footage released showing Hashemi in his costume test, he says ‘Shark’ makes his second collaborative journey with Atshani after ‘The President Cellphone’.
He also believed that the new role will be a lot different than his other performances.
The film shoot was launched in mid February but it was halted due to the pandemic. The procedure, though, will be resumed by the end of June.
Earlier reports have announced that Pejman Jamshidi and Mehran Ahmadi have also joined the project.
The rest of the cast team will be disclosed to media in a not distant future.
Hashemi is an actor, director, screenwriter and playwright. He has appeared in the works of major industry names such as Bahram Beizaee and Rakhshan Bani-Etemad.
His cinematic debut was in Khosrow Sinai’s 'Viva' (1979).
But it was his role in the TV series 'Sultan and the Shepherd' (1981-1984) that brought him nationwide recognition and fame.
