‘The Blue Bed’ wins 3 noms at 2020 LEO AWARDS

The 2020 Leo Awards in Canada has nominated Iran filmmaker Alireza Kazemipour’s ‘The Blue Bed’ in three categories.

Also written by Kazemipour, the 10-min ‘The Blue Bed’ succeeded to grab three nominations at the 21st edition of the Leo Awards, including Best Screenwriting Short Drama, Best Direction Short Drama as well as Best Short Drama.

This is not the first time ‘The Blue Bed’ brought Kazemipour accolades as it previously bagged Best Directing Award at the 10th edition of Vancouver Short Film Festival (VSFF). 

The Leo Awards are the awards program for the British Columbia film and television industry.

Held each May or June in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the Leo Awards were founded by the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Foundation of British Columbia in 1999.

The organizers of this year's event were uncertain to hold the ceremony due to the outbreak of the corona virus. They, however, decided to proceed with it in July taking every necessary precaution required.
