Iranian film ‘The Descendants’ directed by Yaser Talebi has been scheduled to go on screen at the 3rd Longleaf Film Festival in the US.
Longleaf 2017 will screen 60 selected films at the North Carolina Museum of History.
Also written by Talebi, ‘The Descendants’ is about a relationship. Jacob’s family worries about Farrokh, the son of the family. Farrokh left Iran to continue his studies abroad, but he has not been in touch with them for a long time. Jacob travels to Sweden to look for his son.
Talebi’s movie has so far received a number of international awards, including Best Feature Film at the 14th Accolade Global Film Competition Award in the US and Best Picture at the 3rd Ammar Popular Film Festival in Iran.
Longleaf Film Festival is a free-to-attend film festival that highlights the best short- and feature-length documentary and narrative films in a place that recognizes filmmakers and film fans.
The festival celebrates the independent film community with this year's run of the US event slated for May 12 and 13, 2017.
