India’s Salman Khan donates hand sanitizers to police to help fight against coronavirus.

India’s Salman Khan has donated hand sanitizers to police in Mumbai who are on the frontline of the fight against the coronavirus.

Indian media reported that Salman donated 100,000 hand sanitizers in a move that has been praised by his fans and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

“Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan for providing 1Lakh hand sanitizers to our @MumbaiPolice #WarAgainstVirus," Chief Minister of Maharashtra tweeted (referring to a unit in Indian numbering system by Lakh).

Meanwhile, Rahul Kanal, a politician, said “Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan bhai for being there for our frontline warriors,...FRSH sanitizers to be distributed to all our frontline warriors in the Police Dept.”

The sanitizers were manufactured under Salman’s newly launched personal care brand FRSH.

Salman Khan had previously provided financial aid to 32,000 daily wage workers, who have been affected by the nationwide lockdown that aims to contain the pandemic.

The 54-year-old actor also provided ration to the villages surrounding his Panvel farmhouse and has called on his fans to help the needy.
