Hossein Mahdavian, Reza Attaran join hands to make Kebab

Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, regarded as one of the most famous war filmmakers in Iran film industry, is to make a comedy film starring Reza Attaran.

Penned by Amir Mehdi Zhule, ‘Shishlik’, which is the name of the new movie, will be a turning point in Mahdavian’s filming career as he has always been known as a filmmaker with a hand in Sacred Defense Cinema.

The news circulated in media outlets as the film productions have been resumed after several months of delay over the outbreak of coronavirus.

With his successful experience in ‘The Walnut Tree’, Mahdavian will now collab with new acting faces, including Reza Attaran who is known as a popular comedy actor.

Speculations have been made saying that since Shishlik is a meat Kabab belonging to the Iranian city of Mashhad and Reza Attaran is also from Mashahd, it might be somehow related to the story.

No more details have been revealed yet on the storyline and the rest of the cast team.
