Iran short ‘Dreamless Sleep’ to vie in Italy

The Ischa Film Festival (iff) in Italy has slated to screen Iranian short film ‘Dreamless Sleep’.

Directed by Foad Asadi, the short flick will be in competition at the 18th edition of the Italian film event.

A brief synopsis for ‘Dreamless Sleep’ reads, “In a forbidden jungle where people commit suicide, two men are looking for corpses to pick up and sell. One day, they run into a girl who is about to hang herself; which poses a challenge between these two”.

Iranian flicks ‘Weightlessness’ and ‘The Old Man and the Singer’ have also been scheduled to attend the event.

The Ischia Film Festival is a competition open to feature films and documentaries regardless of language: fiction, documentary, animation.

The theme of the festival is particularly focused "on the location and enhancement of the cultural and landscape identity of the territories chosen for filming".

The event will be held online on June 27-July 4, 2020.
