Fajr International Film Festival is the greatest international event of Iran’s cinema industry.

The international section of the 2017 Fajr Film Festival is being held as an independent festival for the third time.

The international edition of the festival includes sections such as the Cinema Salvation, the Eastern Vista, and the Festival of Festivals also called, 'the Cup of Divination.'

This year’s edition of Fajr International Film Festival commemorates one of Iran’s greatest filmmakers--the late Abbas Kiarostami.

The festival is hosting 350 foreign participants from 31 Asian counties, 23 European counties, 6 African countries, and 5 countries from America and Australia.

The 35th Fajr International Film Festival is slated for April 21 to 28, 2017 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
