Movie theaters to host ‘Scenes from a Separation’

Iran doc ‘Scenes from a Separation’ on Asghar Farhadi’s masterpiece is to be screened soon.

The documentary ‘Scenes from a Separation’ on Asghar Farhadi’s masterpiece has been slated to go on screen in movie theaters of Iran’s Art & Experience cinema group.

Directed and produced by Vahid Sedaqat, the documentary will be on domestic silver screens from June 21, 2020.

‘Scenes from a Separation’ takes a closer look at the less-talked about and heard aspects of Farhadi’s Oscar-winning feature.

The scenes in this flick come from the behind the scenes moments of the cast and crew members of it.

It takes the audience on a journey from the idea formations for such a huge project, to the casting.

Then, it presents the international feedback and attention that the film received.

It also contains interviews with big names in filmmaking industry such as Jean-Clauude Carriere, Mike Leigh and Ebrahim Golestan.

‘A Separation’ (2011), on which the doc has been made, is a devastating drama about a married couple who have to choose whether to move abroad to give their daughter a good education or to stay home to care for the husband’s ailing father.

Shahab Hosseini, Leila Hatami, Peyman Maadi, Sareh Bayat and Merila Zarei form the all-star cast list of ‘A Separation’.
