Best of Latin America fest accepts Iran’s ‘The Other’

Iranian short title ‘The Other’ has been scheduled to attend the Best of Latin America Short Film Festival in the US.

Written and directed by Zahra Torkamanlou, the short title will be in competition at the 3rd edition of the US event.

‘The Other’ narrates the story of a person who is stuck with a deeper search to retrieve the inner identity.

Not so successful in the pursuit, the same person is not that good at adapting with the immediate environment either.

Mohaddeseh Heirat, Farzad Mohammadzadeh and Hassan Salmani are the cast members of the flick.

The flick has been produced by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in Tabriz.

The Best of Latin America Short Film Festival has been powered by ShortsTV, the Shorts Movie Channel.

The event accepts films of 40-minute length or shorter.

This year’s edition of the event, which is slated for July 24-August 3, will award its winning short titles with a $2,500 cash prize.
