Iran director Bijan Mir-Bagheri to shoot ‘Life Style’

Film director Bijan Mir-Bagheri is to make his new film ‘Life Style’ this summer, the director says.

Iranian film director Bijan Mirbagheri is set to shoot his new film ‘Life Style’ this summer, domestic media reports.

The director told media on Friday his new cinematic project will be a drama talking about social media and will be shot as soon as the necessary funds are available.

Born 1968 in Tehran, Iranian editor, script writer and director Bijan Mir-Baqeri began his cinematic career by making an animation in 1988.

Mir-Baqeri shot his first short film ‘Two Sisters’ in 1999 and made his movie directorial debut with ‘We Are All Fine’ in 2004.

He has directed and written the script for a number of movies, including ‘The Sun Will Rise’ (2006), ‘Hell, Purgatory, Heaven’ (2008), ‘The Third Floor’ (2009), and ‘A Name’ (2011).

Mir-Baqeri served as an assistant director on Iranian religious blockbuster ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’ (2014) as well as writing the scripts for movies and series such as ‘The New Bride’ (2002) and ‘The Decius City’ (2011).

He has won several national and international awards such as the Best Animation of Isfahan Children Film Festival for the animated short ‘Mahsa’ and the Silver Panther from Locarno Film Festival for ‘The Sun Will Rise’.
