ifilm Exclusive: 35th Fajr Int’l Film Festival, Day 2

Fajr International Film Festival is the greatest international event of Iran’s cinema industry.

The international section of the 2017 Fajr Film Festival was held as an independent festival for the third time.

The international edition of the festival includes sections such as the Cinema Salvation, the Eastern Vista, and the Festival of Festivals also called, 'the Cup of Divination.'

This year’s edition of Fajr International Film Festival commemorated one of Iran’s greatest filmmakers--the late Abbas Kiarostami.

The festival hosted 350 foreign participants from 31 Asian countries, 23 European countries, 6 African countries, and 5 countries from America and Australia.

The awards ceremony for this year’s run was held on Thursday, April 27, at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.
