Iran's ‘The Rope’ to go on screen in US

Iranian short title ‘The Rope’ has been selected to go on screen at the 16th edition of the Sunnyside Shorts International Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Mobin Miri, the short title narrates the story of a boy named Mohsen who goes out of the city to commit suicide but he sees something there that changes his mind.

The cast of the film, also written by Miri, includes Peyman Nasseri and Neda Qamari.

The Sunnyside festival defines its mission as bringing different cultures together through the art of filmmaking.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival will be held online on September 26.
