ifilm exclusive on Iranian feature ‘Blade and Cashmere’

ifilm English TV has published an exclusive report on Iranian feature ‘Blade and Cashmere’ (Blade and Termeh) directed by Kioumars Pourahmad.

ifilm has interviewed the director of photography Alireza Zarrindast, the director’s assistant Hamid-Reza Ghaffarzadeh, the actor Pejman Bazeghi, and the film critic Kamal Pourkaveh.

The feature was originally slated to hit the silver screens in December, 2019; however, over the coronavirus pandemic, the screening could not kick off and it finally went on Video-on-Demand (VoD) services.

‘Blade and Cashmere’ is a social flick with a focus on women and their qualms.

It narrated the story of a 26-year-old woman named Termeh, who lives with her uncle.

Some hidden secrets will come to light when Termeh’s mother comes back to Iran.

Houman Barqnavard, Pejman Bazeghi, Mehran Rajabi, Laleh Eskandari, Diba Zahedi, Maziar Khosravi and Kourosh Soleymani are among the cast members of the movie.

Popular Iranian vocalist Reza Yazdani has performed a song in Pourahmad’s latest feature.
