Iranian virtuoso to play for film on quake-stricken kids

Iranian musician Kayhan Kalhor is to play for ‘Dancing on Balloons’ themed on Sarpol Zahab kids.

Iran’s world-known musician and Kamancheh virtuoso, Kayhan Kalhor, has planned to play a piece for the short film ‘Dancing on Balloons’.

The short title is themed on the children who live in the earthquake-hit area of Sarpol Zahab that is located in Iran’s province of Kermanshah.

The song will be granted to the short film as a gift in sympathy with the children of Sarpol Zahab, who suffered the devastating earthquake in 2018.

Directed by Meysam Mohammadkhani and written by Vahid Sheikhzadeh, the short title is now in the pre-production stage.

Mohammadkhani has previously produced two films, including ‘Birthday Cake’ and ‘Endless Road’.

He also worked as assistant director in some films, including ‘Highlight’, ‘And God Created Woman’, and ‘Dark Chocolate’.
