ifilm English offers congratulations on Eid al-Adha

Enjoy ifilm cut from the movie ‘Abraham, Friend of Allah’ on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

On the happy and auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, ifilm English website congratulates everyone with a scene captured from weekend movie ‘Abraham, Friend of Allah’.

Every year, on the 10th day of the Arabic lunar month of Dhu’l-Hijjah, to accomplish their worship duties, the hajis (Muslim pilgrims in Mecca) along with Muslims around the world commemorate the Eid al Adha.

The eid is a reminder of the huge selfless deed, Abraham (PBUH), the prophet of Allah did, when he willingly wanted to sacrifice his own son to obey the almighty’s command.

Allah, then, grants him the permission to sacrifice an animal instead of his son.

Since then, every year on the day of Eid al-Adha Muslims sacrifice animals like sheep, goats and camels in commemoration of the prophet's devotion.

This year, with the outbreak of COVID-19, lots of changes have been made to the spiritual pilgrimage of Haj, with only a thousand people being permitted to go on pilgrimage to Mecca. Yet, people around the world and in Iran observe the rituals of the eid.

Abraham, Friend of Allah is set to be televised at 22:00 GMT on Saturday August 01. It will be repeated three times the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 all GMT times.
