Cinema ifilm has shown some cuts from one of his movies titled ‘The Next Morning’.
The movie is about Majid, a young Iranian boy who lives in the city of Isfahan.
Stories of Majid are not limited to the movie. Prior to making the movie, Pourahmad made a series totally about Majid.
The entire titles related to Majid tales were written by famous Iranian novelist Houshang Moradi-Kermani.
Born in 1949, Pourahmad is an Iranian director, playwright, producer and editor who studied Cinema Directing.
He began his television career as an assistant director in Nader Ebrahimi’s series ‘Fire without Smoke’ in 1974.
Pourahmad entered the film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie made by Mohsen Taqhvaee which was produced for children.
His other memorable movies include ‘Shame’, ‘Winter Solstice’, ‘Ice Flower’, and ‘The Night Bus’.
Pourahmad has also directed other popular television series such as ‘Clue’ and ‘Open Parenthesis’.
He won a Crystal Simorgh at the 14th Fajr Film Festival for directing ‘Strange Sisters’ in 2005.
