Late-great Iranian auteur Abbas KiarostamiInitial intitally came up with the idea of Adel Yaraghi's ‘Final Exam’, director says in an ifilm exclusive interview.
"As I already mentioned, the initial idea belonged to Mr. Kiarostami," Yaraghi said, adding, " He helped me as I was writing the screenplay.”
The film’s female star Leila Zarei also said to ifilm that “once I found out that the screenplay was written by Mr. Kiarostami and he was involved in the project, I was very delighted”.
“Shahab Hosseini was the one who suggested the project and I think I was the last one who joined the project,” she added.
The film narrates the story of a math tutor who is involved in a romantic relation.
Produced by Mostafa Shayesteh, the film has Shahab Hosseini and Leila Zare as the male and female leads, respectively.
The big names such as auteur Kiarostami as well as Hosseini who starred in Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning movies ‘A Separation’ and ‘The Salesman’ can guarantee a box-office success for the film.
