‘Salman the Persian’ releases behind the scenes

Iranian Islamic period drama ‘Salman the Persian’ has published first behind the scenes video.

The series’ shooting phase had been paused due to the pandemic COVID-19.

To continue filming, the crew had to replace some of the abroad locations with similar locations in Iran.

The 40-episode biopic covers the life of one of Prophet Mohammad’s [PBUH] closest companions, Salman the Persian, from adolescence until the prophet’s death and Salman’s return to his home city of Mada’in.

Alireza Shoja-Nouri, Farhad Aslani, Ali Dehkordi, and Mohammad-Reza Hedayati are on the cast list with more than 1500 Iranian and international actors.

The filming was resumed with observation of the health protocols.

Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the cinematic projects have changed points of view to focus on Islamic and Iranian culture more and more.

‘Salman the Persian’ is one of hundreds of big projects the Iranian cinema has had to highlight religious course.
