In conjunction with the 16th death anniversary of Hossein Panahi, ifilm website presents one of the scenes in ‘Neighbors’ that features the Iranian actor.
Panahi was born in a village in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province on August 28, 1956. He died of a heart attack 16 years ago today.
Panahi gained nationwide fame when he appeared in 'Boro Bia Neighborhood' in 1982.
Besides 'Neighbors', he appeared in various other series, including 'Mirza Koochak Khan', 'Rana', 'Imam Ali (AS)', 'The Friendship Agency', and 'Gharib's World'.
'The Migrants', 'Shadow of Illusion', 'The Fateful Day', and 'Saint Mary' also feature the actor.
Panahi received an honorary diploma at Iran's Fajr Film Festival for his role in 'Shadow of Illusion'.
He was also a poet and his first poetry collection 'I and Nazi' has been translated into six languages.
