Young artists perform at ‘Night of Persian Song’ on May 20

Master musicians are to evaluate young artists' performances in Iranian traditional music at the ‘Night of Persian Song’ on May 20.

The 19th edition of the ‘Night of Persian Song’ will be held on May 20 at Soureh Hall in Tehran.

In this special program different young bands compete. Master musicians who are well known in Iranian music and song will evaluate and will rank them. Finally they choose one of them as the winner.

This special occasion provides opportunity to discover, introduce and promote young and less-known artists in Iranian traditional music and singing.

Some notable participants among the bands are the duo, vocalist Hossein Saemi, 42, setar player Ali Badri, 36,  Kian Hamedinejad, 34, and tar player Adib Forouzan, 28.
