Rosarito filmfest screening ‘Intense’

Iranian short film ‘Intense’ is on screen at the 2020 Rosarito filmfest in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Intense’ is currently on screen at the 4th edition of the Rosarito Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Shirin Sabour, ‘Intense’ tells the story of Nader whose house is on the verge of destruction. He asks his sister to help him on the pretext of his child’s illness. His sister goes to his home where she finds something that reveals many secrets.

The short film previously won three awards at the 4th edition of the Sylhet Film Festival, including awards for best screenplay, best short film as well as best actor award which went to Behzad Khalaj for his laudable performance in the flick.

Sabour’s film made its screening debut at the 2020 Venice Intercultural Film Festival in Italy.

The cast members are Behzad Khalaj, Fatemeh Neishabouri, Faezeh Yousefi and Mohadeseh Mirzapour.

The Rosarito festival welcomes independent films and offers the works the opportunity to compete in the storyline, documentary and short film areas.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, there will be no film screening, and the winners will be announced online.

The 2020 edition of the event is underway and will run until August 16.
