SCHLINGEL Int’l Film Festival to host ‘That Night's Train’

‘That Night's Train’ is to go on screen at 2020 SCHLINGEL Int’l Film Festival in Germany.

Iranian feature ‘That Night's Train’ is to go on screen at the 2020 SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences in Germany.

Directed by Hamid-Reza Qotbi, the film will make its international debut at the competition section of the 25th edition of the German filmfest.

‘That Night's Train’ features Afshin Hashemi, Behnaz Naderi, and the child actress Aylin Rashidian.

The cast also includes names such as Siamak Safari, Maryam Boubani, and Bahram Shakeri.

Co-written by Behrouz Rashad and Hamid-Reza Qotbi, ‘That Night's Train’ is an adaptation of a novel by Ahmad Akbarpour.

The film is about a little girl who meets a female writer when she was on a train. The writer promises to call and visit her later. The promise, in the writer’s mind, is just a theme for her new story, thus embarking on a merge of fantasy with reality.

‘That Night's Train’ was also premiered as the opening film of the 49th Roshd International Film Festival in Iran.

The SCHLINGEL International Film Festival is an annual film event for children and young adult audiences. It gives an overview of the newest international productions in the area of children and youth films.

The 2020 SCHLINGEL is slated for October 10-17 in the German city of Chemnitz.
