Mohammad-Reza Shajarian hospitalized

Popular Iranian vocalist Mohammad-Reza Shajarian has been hospitalized.

The well-known maestro was sent to hospital yesterday due to bad health over his long-term cancer.

He’s been fighting with kidney cancer for over 19 years now.

Shajarian, the father to young Iranian vocalist Homayoun is now under intensive care at a hospital in Tehran.

Dr. Hassan Abbas, Shajarian’s friend and personal doctor told the media that his situation is now under control and next news will be announced officially by the hospital.

Born in September 1940, Mohammad-Reza Shajarian has always been one of the most popular musicians in Iran.
