ifilm exclusive on Iranian film ‘When I Became a Butterfly’

ifilm English TV has released an exclusive report on Iranian film ‘When I Became a Butterfly’, written and directed by Arash Zare.

ifilm interviewed the director and scriptwriter, the producer Mehrdad Jafarian, the director of photography Farshad Golsefidi, the actors Rasoul Keshani and Hossein Heshmati, the actress Mitra Hajjar, the editor Amir-Sheiban Khaqani, the music composer Ahmad Mir-Masoumi, the film critic Kamal Pourkaveh, and a number of the cinemagoers.

‘When I Became a Butterfly’ narrates the story of a woman, Parvaneh, who has lost her husband.

Being a widow, she wants to turn herself to a person she has always liked, but her son believes Pahvaneh played a part in his father's death.

In addition to Hajjar, Heshmati and Keshani, the other cast members of the film are Arash Asefi, Davoud Zamani, Hamed Hosseini, Alireza Houshyar, Ali Qayyoumi, and Morteza Reyhani.

‘When I Became a Butterfly’ has been picked as the best film at the Iranian Film Festival Zurich in Switzerland.
