Simorgh int’l Fest calls for entries

The 11th edition of the Simorgh International Festival has called for entries.

The organizers of the event have invited artists to send their works, thanking the medical staff for their efforts in fighting coronavirus.

This year’s festival is to be held in five categories, including film, music, literature, visual arts and theater.

Organized by Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the Simorgh International Festival aims to screen high-quality films with the theme of culture and health. The festival supports new talents and helps develop the culture of health and related industries.

The event took its name from the Persian mythical flying creature, Simorgh, to which healing capacities have been attributed.

The motto of the fest is, “Every home is a health base”.

Due to the pandemic, the exact opening date of the festival is yet to be announced.
