‘The Blue Bed’ to go on screen at Loudoun Arts fest

Iran’s ‘The Blue Bed’ is to go on screen at the Loudoun Arts filmfest.

The Loudoun Arts Film Festival (LAFF) in the US has scheduled to host Iranian short flick ‘The Blue Bed’.

Written, directed and produced by Alireza Kazemipour, the short film will be competing at the International Shorts section of the first edition of the US event.

The film narrates the story of a girl who has taken an inappropriate path in her life and gets visitors at home.

But suddenly things start to change for her when a woman walks into her life.

‘The Blue Bed’ has been screened at a number of global events and won some awards, including the Best Directing award at the 10th Vancouver Short Film Festival in Canada.

The film has also received three nominations at the 2020 Leo Awards in Canada, including the Best Screenwriting Short Drama, Best Direction Short Drama, and Best Short Drama.

The Award-winning Iranian short film ‘Exam’ is also slated to be screened at the LAFF.

The mission set for the LAFF is to showcase innovative and compelling movies to entertain its audiences.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition of the fest will be launched online on the official website of the LAFF on August 27.

Also, following the social distancing protocols, the event will be held in person via Drive-In on September 10-13 and 17-19 in Middleburg.
