Eastern Nigeria filmfest to screen Iranian ‘Malayz’

The Eastern Nigeria Film Festival (ENIFF) has scheduled to screen acclaimed Iranian short animation ‘Malayz’.

The short animation is co-produced and co-directed by Leila Ahang, Sara Hanif, Maryam Alavi, and Marziyeh Kordlou.

The 2-minute flick is about a nervous, naughty fish called Moslem.

He is resting when a luminous ring drops down and wakes him up. Moslem gets angry and roars at the ring.

The glow of the ring catches his eye, making him get it.

"His name is Moslem, the angriest fish ever. Don't let his cute sleepy face deceive you," a description says about the short film.

The International Animation Film Festival - Golden Kuker Sofia in Bulgaria screened ‘Malayz’ in early September.

The ENIFF is a platform for films and filmmakers to be seen, supported and celebrated. It is a festival where filmmakers, actors, and film lovers can engage in ways previously unseen at a film festival in Africa. It is where filmmakers will be treated with so much respect and rewarded for their creativity and contribution to the advancement of humanity.

There would be masterclasses where professionals in the industry will individually offer insights about the workings of the show business.

The 2020 edition of the ENIFF is slated for November 4-7 in Nigeria.
