ifilm English to bid farewell to ‘The Fifth Sun’

ifilm English Channel has set to air the final episode of ‘The Fifth Sun’ series on Sunday night.

The finale of the series, produced by Davoud Hashemi and directed by Alireza Afkhami, will be aired on November 4, 2020 at 18:00 GMT.

In ‘The Fifth Sun’, Mohsen is struggling to make ends meet living in Tehran during the period of Saddam’s war against Iran when he finds a mysterious sun pendant that causes him to jump 20 years into the future.

Therefore, he needs to make sense of everything that’s happened and figure out a way to get back to life in his own time.

Notable among the cast are Reza Tavakkoli, Pendar Akbari, Mahvash Sabrkon, Esmaeel Khalaj, Shahram Qaedi, Maryam Kaviani, Shabnam Qolikhani, Hamid Goudarzi, and Mehdi Solouki.

‘The Fifth Sun’, produced in 2009, will be replaced by the social drama ‘Madineh’ directed by Sirous Moqaddam.
