Harvesting jujube fruit in South Khorasan Province

Iranian farmers in the province of South Khorasan have been harvesting jujube fruit.

Ninety-eight percent of the harvested fruit which is known as “The Red Pearl” grows in this province. People of the province believe the fruit has high medicinal and nutritive value.

Research shows that the fruit contains protein, sugar, vitamin C, and salt.

Chinese also use the jujube fruit in traditional medicine.
