ifilm has interviewed the director, the producer Hassan Kalami, the actor Nader Soleimani, the actress Vida Javan, the film critic Kamal Pourkaveh, and a number of cinemagoers.
‘Abadan 1160’ is a narrative of Abadan city's resistance during the beginning of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran.
The film also depicts how the crew members of the city’s radio station, under the fire of an unjust war, stayed put at their workplace to give people hope to achieve victory.
In addition to Javan and Soleimani, Alireza Kamali-Nejad, Hassan Majouni, Hamid-Reza Mohammadi, and Shabnam Goudarzi are among the cast members of the flick.
The film was premiered at the main competition section of the 2020 Fajr Film Festival, where it received an award and two nominations.
