Iranian animation ‘Tangle’ has been selected to vie at the St. Louis International Film Festival in the US.

The 2020 edition of the American event is to host and judge the animated piece directed by Maliheh Gholamzadeh.

‘Tangle’ is about a girl’s experience of war. It shows how a little girl has lost all her family members to a cruel war.

The short flick has been screened at a number of international film festivals and won some awards, including the Narrative Grand Prize at the ‘Short to the Point’ Film Festival in Romania and the best film award at the International Sretensky Orthodox Film Festival in Russia.

The St. Louis International Film Festival aims to enhance cultural diversity by bringing American independent productions, horizon-expanding international films, and high-quality studio films to audiences before their commercial release.

St. Louis film event was supposed to be held in September but it will be held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
