Azadi Tower, symbol of Tehran in photos

On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of Azadi Tower, one of the symbols of Tehran and one of the greatest icons of Iran, ifilm website would take you for a virtual tour of the monument.

Azadi Tower, which was designed by architect Hussein Amanat and built by Mohammad Pour-Fathi, was inaugurated on October 16, 1971.

The architecture of the tower is a combination of Achaemenid, Sassanid and Islamic architectures.

The tower includes underground museum, library, gallery and a number of exhibition venues.
