‘Exodus’ to vie at Resistance Int’l filmfest

Iranian director Ebrahim Hatamikia’s ‘Exodus’ is to vie at the Resistance Int'l Film Festival in Iran.

Iranian director Ebrahim Hatamikia’s latest flick ‘Exodus’ is slated to vie at the Resistance International Film Festival in Iran.

The award-winning movie will be screened at the Main Competition section of the 16th edition of the event.

Hatamikia’s 20th feature film was also appeared in Iran’s first drive-in cinema at Tehran’s Milad Tower, being warmly received by the audience.

It also succeeded to bag two Crystal Simorghs from the 38th edition of the Fajr Film Festival: one for best makeup and one for best visual effects.

‘Exodus’ depicts the story of a group of farmers voicing their concerns to government officials.

The film features Faramarz Qaribian, Pantea Panahiha, Jahangir Almasi, Giti Ghasemi, Mehdi Faqih, Sam Qaribian, and Atash Taqipour.

Presided by Mahdi Azimi Mirabadi, the second part of the festival is covering "Main Competition", "Resistance Prominent Martyr - Special Section", "Best Film Competition in Absolute Sense" and “Narrations of Pen - Scriptwriting Competition”.  

The second section of the Resistance Int’l Film Festival will be held on November 21-27, 2020.
