The Barcelona Asian Film Festival in Spain will host Iranian-Afghan feature film ‘Seven and a Half’.

The binational production by Mahmoudi Brothers is to compete with 16 other films from around the world at the NETPAC section of the event.

‘Seven and a Half’ will have screening sessions on November 6 during the 2020 edition of the Spanish festival.

‘Seven and a Half’ narrates the story of seven Iranian and Afghan girls about to get married on a Friday night. All of the young women are engaged otherwise, though.

The film, shot in a long take, will follow the girls’ challenges before they’ll tie the knot.

Neda Jabraeeli, Shadi Mokhtari, Atieh Javid, Hasti Mahdavifar, Mohammad-Reza Ghaffari, Anahita Afshar, Alireza Kamalinejad, Fereshteh Hosseini, Hossein Mehri, Roya Javidnia, Hanieh Qasemi, Afsaneh Kamali, and Matin Heydarinia are some of the cast members.

The Asian Film Festival Barcelona is the gateway to Asian cinema in Spain. It aims to bring the high quality narrative art of the Asian continent to the Spanish public, making it a place of gathering and dialogue of multiple cultures.

This year's edition of the event is currently underway from October 28 – November 8, 2020 in Barcelona.
