‘Setin’ to vie at Africa Int’l filmfest

Iranian short film ‘Setin’ is to be screened at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in Nigeria.

Iranian short film ‘Setin’ is slated to be screened at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in Nigeria.

Directed and produced by Asghar Abbasi, the short, themed on drug addiction and family issues, will have its latest international appearance in the Nigerian event.

‘Setin’ is about an old love and a deep divide within a family, where love overcomes the gap and prevents a separation; however, drugs can topple every home.

‘Setin’ has so far gone on screen at a number of global events, including the 5th "Make Art Not War" festival in the US, the 2020 international short film festival of "Miradas a traves del tiempo" in Uruguay, and the 2020 Bebop Channel Content Festival in the US.

Founded in 2010, the AFRIFF is an annual film festival that takes place in Nigeria.

The event normally spans through a week and it includes award shows and film training classes.

The 11th edition of the festival is scheduled for December 2-5, 2020.
