Iranian doc ‘Sailors Never Go to Sea Alone’ wins at KISFF

Iranian documentary ‘Sailors Never Go to Sea Alone’ has garnered Diploma of Honor at the 3rd edition of the Kenya International Sports Film Festival (KISFF).

Directed by Allahkaram Rezaeezadeh, the documentary is about Iran’s Malavan Bandar-Anzali Football Club and the honors achieved by the team.

It also depicts the devotions and affections of the residents of Bandar-Anzali (a city in northern Iranian province of Gilan) for the team.

According to the KISFF’s official website, “it is committed to showcasing the synergy that exists between Sports and Film and firmly believes that while Sports unifies society, Film inspires society”.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 edition of the festival was held online on October 29- November 1.
