The 16th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) has scheduled to screen Iranian feature film ‘Simulation’ (Tamaroz).
Directed by Abed Abest, the Iranian flick will go on screen in Persian language at the No Limit section of the Romanian event.
The 85-minute drama depicts three young people who are looking for a place in their hometown to have an enjoyable time over the weekend.
While discussing over a variety of options, they finally decide on the house of an old man. In the past they had only visited him once and did not have any particular close relations with him.
The old man welcomes them, but the party leads to a tragic catastrophe for all of them. Despite beginning on a good start, the night concludes with each of them starting trouble and quarreling, concluding with a police intervention and the beginning of a tragedy.
Abed Abest is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist working in the film industry as an actor, writer, director, cinematographer and producer.
His debut feature film ‘The Corner’ went on screen at Cairo International Film Festival. He is also known for his performance in Shahram Mokri's avant-garde film 'Fish & Cat'.
