Exground filmfest to present Iranian offering

The 2020 Exground Film Festival in Germany is to screen Iranian short film.

The 2020 edition of the Exground Film Festival in Germany has been set to screen Iranian short flick.

Directed by Davoud Rangkhaneh, the 14-minute film will be screened in the Persian language with English subtitles.

“Arman goes to a nightclub at the invitation of his friends. That night, something is going to happen,” the festival’s website writes on the story of ‘Nightclub’.

Exground filmfest’s website also writes, “For years now, short films from Iran have been an integral part of the program at Exground filmfest. In 2020, we’re showing five of them: two world premieres, an international premiere, a European premiere and a first screening in Germany. The works feature a visit to a prison, another in a night club, a duel in the mountains, a hunt for body parts, and a failed escape from an eldercare facility."

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 edition of the Exground Film Festival is scheduled to go hybrid. So the viewers can attend the festival or watch films from their homes.

The festival aims to provide a space for the audience and cineastes to meet. This year, it will present more than 120 productions.

The 33rd edition of the event will be held on November 13-22, 2020.
