Winchester filmfest hosting Iranian ‘The Badger’

Iranian feature film ‘The Badger’ has been participating in the Winchester Film Festival (WFF) in the UK.

Kazem Mollaee’s feature has joined the race with three other selected international works at the Best Feature Film competition section of the English fest’s 9th edition.

The movie starring Vishka Asayesh is the story of a 40-year-old woman. She is named Soudeh Sharifzadegan and she is facing a difficult challenge in her private life at the time her second marriage nears.

In addition to Asayesh, the flick's cast list includes names such as Hassan Majouni, Mehraveh Sharifinia, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Reza Behboudi and Gohar Kheirandish.

‘The Badger’ has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Shanghai International Film Festival in China and the Austin Film Festival in the US.

The WFF provides a platform for talented emerging and seasoned short filmmakers.

This year’s edition of the event kicked off on November 8 and it is set to wrap up on November 15.
