Iranian actress Kamand Amir-Soleymani has said she likes the role of Azar in the memorable series ‘The Patriarch’, which was recently aired by ifilm English TV Channel.

Amir-Soleymani gained fame for her role in ‘The Patriarch’. She played the role of Azar, who refuses to live in the house of her father-in-law, who wants to gather his family all together.

In an interview with ifilm TV, Amir-Soleymani said ‘The Patriarch’ is a “big event in my artistic life”, adding that people still call her by the name of the character she played in the series.

She noted that her participation in the 1990s series, which is starring veteran actors, is considered as attending an acting class.

The 47-year-old actress said playing the role was “attractive to me” because she had nothing in common with the character.

Answering another question about the reasons why the series remains memorable, she said “‘The Patriarch’ has an attractive story” and addresses family values.
