‘The Wooden Doll’ wins award at Szczecin filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘The Wooden Doll’ has won an award at the Szczecin Film Festival in Poland.

Iranian short flick ‘The Wooden Doll’ has won an award at the Szczecin Film Festival in Poland.

Written and directed by Mohammad-Reza Misaqi, the film grabbed the best short film award at the 2020 edition of the event.

‘The Wooden Doll’ is starring Nabi Mohammadi.

The film was previously presented at the 12th International Inter University Short Film Festival in Bangladesh, the Jharkhand International Film Festival in India, and the BUEIFF Channel film festival in Argentina.

Szczecin Film Festival is an annual film event organized by the OFFicyna Association, which explores the limits of cinema, and its main mission is creative exploration.

The competition part of SEFF discovers and presents the most interesting and latest offers from creators from around the world in the following sections: European Competition - Telefon Art - Zachodniopomorskie Shorty.

The 14th edition of the festival was held online over coronavirus pandemic in October 2020.
